About Elsa

With Collette 2 Elsa (at left, in black) started decorating cakes when she saw that her local Michaels Arts & Crafts store was offering Wilton cake decorating classes. She did so well in all three courses that she was asked to become an instructor. It has now been five years that she has been teaching the Wilton Method of Cake decorating to over 350 students throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, New York.

Since that time, Elsa graduated from The Institute of Culinary education with a culinary certificate. Elsa has also taken courses with master chef Toba Garrett at the Institute of Culinary education in New York City, as well as with the talented cake decorator and chef Colette Peters (with Elsa) at the Wilton School of Decorating in Chicago. Over the past year, Elsa has also taken classes with renowned gum paste flower artist Scott Clark Woolley in Manhattan.

Elsa started the She’s Crafty Cake Decorating Company to teach advance gum paste flower making, decorating with fondant, and cake baking techniques in the privacy of the student’s home. Contact Elsa for a free quote and for more information.

Classes are also taught en EspaƱol.

Please note: Private classes are not taught the Wilton Method, and She’s Crafty Cake Decorating has no association to Wilton Industries. All Wilton method Cake Decorating classes are taught at approved Wilton Industries locations only.

  2. I agree with taking the classes. I started out at a local class a few years ago and it was the first step to having my own bakery. Best of luck! Steph
